I am new to this site. I have been an all in one dispatcher for about 15 months now. Love it. I work in a real small town of about 2,200 people. We have 1 dispatcher and 1 officer on at all times. Needless to say, the dispatcher does records, 911, secretary, call taking, and any other necessary jobs. Oh yeah, watch all the cameras. Sounds like a lot, but really it is not. We work 12's, but on a really busy day, we only have 15-19 calls and that includes traffic. Don't get me wrong, sometimes it does get hectic when there are 2 and 3 911's at the same time. But that is few and far between. I have been reading the other posts for about a week now. This sounds like a really great place to get some really good advise and share some really good stories.
