10 hr shift schedule

Postby rgriffin on Thu Oct 29, 2009 8:43 am

We currently have 10 full time employees and are looking for a schedule with 10 hr shifts. We have 3 supervisors who need to be on
different shifts. Does anyone out there have similar circumstances and can you share your schedule with me.
Thanks

Graveyard: 2200-0800 ie: Wed-Sat and Sat-Tues (overlap 2 on busiest shift)

Dayshift: 0800-1800 (overlap 2 on busiest shift)

Swing1: 1200-2200 (ie: Wed-Sat)

Swing2: 1400-2400 (ie: Sat-Tues)

Our patrol officers have one supervisor for each shift:

Graveyard: Tues-Sat (5 days - 2300-0700 or adjust as need)

Dayshift: Tues-Sat (5 days - 0700-1500)

Swing: Fri-Tues (5 days - 1500-2300)

Not sure if you still need the info but I work in a center with similar staffing and we have a schedule everyone really likes. Our dispatchers work ten hour shifts and our supervisor's work twelves. Our shift assignments for dispatchers are 7a-5p, 11a-9p, 5p-3a, and 9p-7a. We basically have a two week schedule where dispatchers and supervisors get every other weekend off, in each shift assignment you would work fri, sat, sun, mon, then have tues off, work wed, thur, then have fri, sat, sun, mon, off, then work tues, wed, and then have thur off, and then it repeats. We have two people in each of these slots that where one is working the other is off and vice versa. With the extra two positions we have them work on the 7a-5p shift, and the 5p-3a shift, on Tuesday thru Friday with weekends off as these are busy call times for us and as a little bonus for seniority. Our supervisors work from 6a-6p and 6p-6a and follow a similar schedule but every other week our wednesday is only an 8hr day to total 80hrs a pay period. Hope this isnt too confusing and helps in someway.
