It's undoubtedly the largest and most important conference of the public safety field, and the place where all the big-time companies and players just have to show up. The meeting rooms are filled with seminars on topics from the mundane to the technical, from management to call-taker, and from informative to amusing.
Of course, there's a social side to the conference--where else do 3,000 public safety communications professionals appear at once, meet at once, party at once? This is the city to be if you're in trouble--even a wrong number during this week would get you a dispatcher!
To bring our readers direct and up-to-the-minute news about this very important APCO conference, we've posting exclusive stories and photos from the conference and trade show here on the DISPATCH Monthly Web site. It's only the second time a news organization has used the Internet to provide public safety conference news on-line, while the conference is still in session--we pioneered the first such event by covering the annual NENA conference last June in Baltimore.
You can track the conference day by day, or select a specific topic for more information.
