Volunteering

Go to www.uopsc.org

Click on "Recruitment"

Click on "Volunteer" again

Fill the following fields:

Position applying for "Administrative support"

General Information: Complete the entire section

Emergency Contact Information: Complete the entire section

Current Public Safety Status: Non-Certified

Current Public Safety Level: "Local" or "State"

Other Public Safety Certification Information that applies: Certification date, public safety agency, agency contact person, years of experience

Public Safety and related experience: Check the box that says "Dispatch" only

Public Safety Equipment: Skip this section

Language skills: Complete this entire section

Applicant Individual information: Complete this entire section

Comment Section: List the dispatch systems you are familiar with

Read the application agreement, check the box and "Submit." Print a copy for your records.

Upon clicking the "Submit" button, a follow-up instruction sheet will appear. It will ask you to provide two additional items: 1) a letter from your agency contact stating you are in good standing with your organization, you are currently certified as a dispatcher, and you have completed background checks for your job and 2) a resumé outlining the specific experience you have gained as a dispatcher.

These items must be recevied (as soon as possible--the former April 20 deadline does not apply). The mailing address is:
