This shows one of the eight identical workstations at the Santa Rosa (Calif.) police-fire comm center.
This shows how the comm center is set up--two rows of four consoles each, grouped by twos.
The TV monitor at the far end is a quad-screen, live, slow-scan system with cameras at the city's transit center.
The two black-and-white monitors at the far workstation show interior locations of the public safety building.
<--Just to the left is a laser printer that's linked to the CAD system for printing vehicle registrations, driver's licenses, warrant abstracts, etc. Another laster printer is against the far wall under the framed "drum sticks" on the wall (we don't know the significance!).
Note the indirect lighting around the top edge of the ceiling, the incandescent tracklighting that has individual dimmer controls at each workstation, and the adjustable light mounted on the desktop (far left at the near workstation).
