This is a typical Response Specialist workstation at the ATX Technologies, Inc. Response Center in Irving (Tex.) where the Specialists field calls from telematics units installed in vehicles.

The simple, uncluttered position has (l. to r.) reference material, a multi-line telephone, a computer, 17-inch monitor and mouse, and reference materials in a binder. Dispatchers use headsets to answer the phone.

There are 150 positions in the center.
