Utah Considers MLTS-911 Legislation

A Utah state legislator has introduced a bill that would require certain multi-line telephone system (MLTS) operators to provide specific location information for 911 calls. Senate Bill 72 also establishes certain data standards and user training, and establishes liability protections for MLTS operators. The bill addresses a problem of large telephone systems that don’t transmit the precise location of a 911 caller, but rather usually sends ANI/ALI information for the location of the telephone switch equipment. Several states already have laws requiring MLTS to send the building ID, floor number and sometimes an office number when 911 is called. Download (pdf) the proposed bill here.

These are some of the common features of a talkswitch IP phone which are also common to other IP phone systems. First, you can use computer software to dial a number local and world; it has classy features and functionalities, each calls can be watched as each call are logged in, it would be easy to unify the communication system in the business.,
