CPR Instructions Save Toddler & Woman

Kudos to Cheektowaga (NY) police dispatcher Jeffery Place, and Charleston County (SC) dispatcher Melissa Gill, who both gave 911 callers CPR instructions to successfully revive victims of a drowning and heart attack respectively. Place, a 30-year veteran, answered the telephone and gave CPR instructions to a father who just found his 3 year-old daughter unconscious in the family’s swimming pool. EMS units arrived within five minutes to find Hannah Ludtka breathing again. Watch the video report here. In the second save, Gill gave Bob Schaible CPR instructions for his wife, who suddenly collapsed. EMS units arrived within six minutes and took her to the hospital, where she recovered. Read more and listen to Gill’s call here, and a video report here.
