A Scottsdale (Ariz.) man is simply grateful for the help he received after suffering a mental health crisis, and talked to a local reporter to make sure it didn’t go unnoticed. The man called The Arizona Republic reporter EJ Montini to say the dispatcher, police officers and mental health workers all were understanding and professional–as it should be. He told Montini that he reads a lot of bad news. “I understand why we need to hear about it. But in this case all of these people did their jobs and saved me. Shouldn’t that be news?” the man asked. Montini agreed, and you can read his account of how good work does make a difference here.
