12 Year-Old Identified in Hoax 911 Calls

Police in Enid (Okla.) have identified a 12 year-old boy who made 40 hoax calls to 911 over several hours, sending law enforcement, fire and EMS units speeding to various accidents and other emergencies that he reported. The boy used a cellular telephone to report accidents, a man with a gun, and other incidents. Dispatchers finally learned the name of the boy’s grandparents and a Fairview police officer located the boy, who was referred to juvenile justice authorities.
