The husband of Denise Lee will be the keynote speaker for tomorrow’s annual conference of the California NENA chapter in San Diego, to tell about his experience after she was kidnapped and murdered from her Florida home in Jan. 2008. Through a foundation named for his wife, Nathan Lee is advocating for increased training in Florida after miscommunications among sheriff’s dispatchers was revealed by an internal investigation. “I will take every opportunity offered to explain that more needs to be done about the broken 911 system,” he told a newspaper of his trip to the conference. Nathan’s father and two other foundation members will accompany Nathan Lee on the trip. Surf the foundation’s Web site here.
