Webinars Become Popular Training Venue

Public safety is finally reaping the benefits of Internet technology in the form of webinar training sessions that can accommodate a single person or hundreds of dispatchers, all on their own schedule. The APCO Institute is offering an expanded schedule of sessions this year, starting with 911 and video relay services, and later including priority communications, employee selection and performance, and dispatcher evaluations. And next month, the LEAPS.tv network will debut with a range of public safety-related webinars, initially focusing on law enforcement topics, but eventually expanding to comm center subjects.
