The 911 CARES program has issued an alert after the tragic death of a Madera County (Calif.) dispatcher’s husband on Jan. 9th. Off-duty Dep. Scott Murray was home with his wife Kristi Rogers Murray when he stopped breathing and went unconscious. Kristi dialed 911 for help and applied CPR, but arriving EMTs were unable to revive him. The couple met three years ago at work, and were married just 8 months ago. They had purchased a new home and were planning a family, co-workers say, when this tragedy struck. The sheriff’s association has set up a memorial fund, and you can find full information here.
