Dispatcher Samantha Martin has a very special distinction–she donated a kidney to her son’s Little League baseball coach this week. Pat Neal inherited a condition that has continually reduced his kidney function to about 19% just before the surgery. When Martin learned of his need, she was anxious to help. “I wasn’t scared per se, but I was a little nervous, but not once did it run through my mind I didn’t want to do this,” Martin told a newspaper reporter.
