Dispatcher Suspended for Rudeness

Defiance County (Ohio) dispatcher Trilby Schohl has been suspended for 30 days by sheriff David Westrick and 911 director Carol Armitage, after complaints that she was rude to 911 callers during an bad ice storm in December. Westrick said Schohl told callers that she was too busy to talk to them, “didn’t have time to deal with them,” and hung up on some callers. Schohl has a previous history of disciplinary actions, Westrick said, including a recent 10-day suspension and others for rudeness. She’s a 19-year veteran. Westrick told a reporter that another disciplinary action could result in her termination.
