A pregnant Suffolk County (NY) EMS dispatcher picked up the last 911 call of her shift, and ended up helping a pregnant woman delivery a baby girl. Christine Springer is herself 31 weeks pregnant, but it was really training that helped her give instructions to Deborah Guidice, the mother of Dolores, who reported during the 911 that it was going to be a breach delivery. After dispatching the local ambulance service, Springer gave the instructions to safely deliver the baby. The incident happened on Jan. 8th, and the two woman recently met and Springer was awarded a commendation. Read more about the incident here, and watch a TV report here. [photo]
