911 Call Reports Refinery Fire

A 911 caller told a Bountiful (Utah) police dispatcher that a “petroleum tank” was one fire, but it took a moment to register that it was a big petroleum tank at the Silver Eagle Refinery. The unnamed dispatcher told a refinery employee to “slow down,” and then gathered information about the fire, which eventually led to a neighborhood evacuation, aided by a telephone alert to residents.
