Aurora (Ill.) officials awarded M/A-COMM a $16 million contract last month for a new public safety radio system, but at least one city alderman now says he might have made a different decision if he had known about the company’s track record in New York state. The city’s tech officer says he’s been following M/A-COMM’s project in New York state, and that system isn’t comparable to the Aurora-Naperville system.
