Sheriff Releases Tapes in Missing Child Case

The Orange County (Fla.) Sheriff has released the logging tapes of three 911 calls made by a water company meter reader after he found a plastic bag he believed might be connected to the case of missing child Caylee Anthony. The utility worker made the calls last August, four months before he again reported the bag and deputies found human remains that are believed to be the missing girl’s. A sheriff’s spokesperson said an investigation is underway to determine why the 911 caller’s reports were not passed along to a task force handling the missing child case.
