An editorial in the Canton Repository (Ohio) newspaper calls for Stark County officials to consolidate public safety dispatching within the county and to fund the project through a 0.25 percent sales tax increase. The county now has four PSAPs, “which builds delays into the process no matter how good the middlemen are at what they do,” the newspaper says.
