An internal investigation centered on the 911 stated that is came in at 12:20 p.m. and lasted 57 seconds. A second 911 was received at the center at 12:21 p.m., and that caller hung up. When the Zimmermann call was finished, the calltaker failed to call back her phone. Instead, the calltaker called back the second 911 caller, “due to an unintentional oversight likely due to her quickly moving on to handle subsequent calls,” the investigation said. Zimmermann was found murdered about an hour later by her boyfriend. Read more here.
