New Info on Zimmermann 911 Call

Search warrants obtained by the Wisconsin State Journal newspaper reveal that the 911 call from murder victim Brittany Zimmermann’s apartment last April included the sounds of a woman screaming and a struggle. Previously, police have steadfastly refused to release the tape of the call, or even to describe any sounds on the call. The new information came to light when the newspaper obtained search warrant affadavits that were unsealed by the court because of a police department oversight. The calltaker who handled the hang-up call didn’t call the number back when it was disconnected, and never sent police to investigate. Zimmermann’s boyfriend found her body about an hour later, stabbed and strangled to death, according to the newly-released search warrants. No suspect has been identified.
