Marion County (Wisc.) 911 dispatcher Lisa Potter was working the night shift with a co-worker when a 911 call rang in at 4 a.m.–it was Potter’s husband reporting that their house was on fire. Fire units responded to the residence and extinguished the flames, and Potter’s husband and two young daughters, ages 6 and 8 years-old, safely escaped. Police and fire officers are investigating the cause of the fire. County 911 director Mike Hall arrived shortly after the fire was reported to relieve Potter so she could return home. The family stayed at a local motel after the fire. Watch a TV report on the incident here.
