City of Pueblo (Colo.) dispatcher Nancy Cranmer, 57, died on her way home from an evening shift, apparently from a medical ailment as she was driving. Cranmer, a 14-year veteran of the agency, was not injured in the accident, according to the coroner. Police chief Jim Billings said, “Nancy was a well-respected dispatcher that a lot of people looked up to. She could do it all.” He confirmed that she did suffer from previous heart problems, but did not report being ill before she left work. He said a police chaplain was talking to grieving co-workers. Cranmer has two grown children and four grandchildren.
