The New York State Office for Technology has released the latest audit performed by a consultant on the statewide wireless system being installed by M/A-COMM, and it details several contract issues, most notably the system’s radio coverage. The audit was performed by Virginia-based Federal Engineering, and covers administration of the project, documentation, test procedures, along with several technical aspects of the network. The system’s performance in two initial counties has been criticized by public safety officials and politicians as sub-standard. Download (pdf) the report here.
