Mom, Baby Visit Dispatcher Who Helped

It was a very personal reunion at the Belmont (Mass.) police department for comm center supervisor Ted Pendergast and Sinjin Scozzaro–just nine days earlier Sinjin had been born with Pendergast’s help over the telephone. Mother Gian called at about 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 16th to say the baby was already crowning, and the 911 logging tape documents the next few minutes. Mother and baby visited the police department to thank Pendergast and share their half of the experience.
