Newspaper Asks: What Happened in Comm Center?

An editorial in the Torrington Register Citizen (Conn.) newspaper asks the city’s police department to release details of a mysterious resignation earlier this year of an officer and two dispatchers. The only details released by the department were that former officer Christopher Donovan was placed on “emergency suspension” during an investigation that he “engaged in “inappropriate relations with two female civilian dispatchers.” But, the newspaper says, the residents of Torrington deserve more information to insure they’re being protected.
