Judge Dials 911 After Husband’s Attack

A suspended Nevada state district court judge dialed 911 when she was attacked by her husband at home, leading to an unusual call with the dispatcher and odd snippets of conversation captured between the judge and her husband during the attack. Elizabeth Halverson is on suspension after allegations that she fell asleep on the bench, mistreated her staff and allowed her bodyguards to bypass a security check. On the logging tape of the call that was released to the public, Halverson spoke to the dispatcher when her husband stepped out of the room. “He’s beating me with a frying pan,” she said.
