The victim of a robbery in Anderson (SC) says he waited much longer than three minutes for police to arrive after he was robbed, and that the dispatcher he spoke to during a 911 call was “condescending” and asked accusatory questions. But the logging tapes of the call that Dale Grimes and his wife made to the Anderson County 911 center proved that Grimes was wrong on both counts. Grimes believed the dispatcher asked him questions that implied that the robbery was a drug deal gone bad. But that question was never asked, although the dispatcher did ask if Grimes had ever seen the suspects before. Read more, listen to the 911 calls (although link seems to be bad) and read the CAD print-out here.
