Airplane Crash Tapes Released

The North Las Vegas comm center has released the logging recorder tapes of 911 calls made on Aug. 22nd when a single-engine aircraft crashed into a residence just after taking off from the city’s airport. The airplane burst into flames, setting the house on fire. The pilot and two occupants of the the home were killed. The first 911 call is from the airport tower, which immediately realized the airplane wasn’t gaining altitude, and heard the pilot radio, “I’m going down.” Read about the crash, watch a video report and listen to the 911 calls here.
