A very strange case in Church Hill (Tenn.), where the police have obtained arrests warrants for two FCC investigators who allegedly claimed to be drug task force officers when detained by suspicious officers. The FCC agents were in town checking out reports from the Mount Carmel police department that their radio system was receiving deliberate interference when a certain officer tried to use the radio. The FCC investigators’ van was stopped twice by police, who were suspicious of their actions. When stopped, police claim, the agents said they were member of a drug task force. Church Hill Police Chief Mark Johnson said, “A novel idea would have been to tell the truth. He added, “They could have said, ‘We’re grocery store inspectors. We’re gasoline inspectors.’ They could have named any number of lies that would not be criminal.” Read the full story here.
