A head-on accident has killed Cameron County (Tex.) Sheriff’s dispatcher Ernesto De La Fuente. Deputies said they arrested the other driver on suspicion of DUI. They said De La Fuente was driving his motorcycle in Brownsville enroute to work about 11 p.m. last Friday. The other driver in a passenger car was passing a vehicle when he struck De La Fuente, throwing him from the motorcycle. He died later at a hospital. Sheriff Omar Lucio said De La Fuente had hoped to become a sheriff’s deputy one day. De La Fuente was a three-year veteran of the department. On July 11th Suwannee County (Fla.) dispatcher Nikki Ford died when he car left the highway and struck a tree while enroute home after a work shift.
