After spending 31 years at the Lenawee County (Mich.) Sheriff’s Department as a dispatcher, it was time for Linda Seeburger to retire. But after all those 911 calls and radio transmissions, her friends and co-workers had one more surprise for her–a visit from her son, who had come up from Fort Hood (Tex.) where he is serving in the Army. Seeburger made a last radio call to the public safety agencies she’s worked with, saying, “It’s been a pleasure to serve with you.” Read more about her career and retirement here.
