The focus of “interoperability” among public safety agencies has mainly been on radio, but now TriTech Software Systems has taken a major step by publishing a standard interface document that it hopes will promote the more rapid deployment of integrated computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems. The 46-page document sets out the low-level methods of communications between CAD software from different developers, the various functions that are recognized, and how various functions can be grouped into “packages.” Register to download the document here.
