Columnist Returns With Tall Tales

Almost nine years ago, DISPATCH Monthly began publishing the wild tales of a California dispatcher who always seemed to have a different perspective on life, the world and public safety dispatching. Linda Olmstead’s views brought a chuckle to lots of readers, and made others nod their head in agreement as she recounted the work-a-day world of public safety dispatchers. Her writing stopped for several reasons, but she recently asked if I’d like to publish more of her writings. I immediately told her, “Let’er rip!” And she has.
