Another in an on-going series of 911 hang-up, no-response incidents has a New Albany (Ind.) family wondering what wrong at the police center. The parents said their daughter dialed 911 at 2 a.m. when a man broke into the home. Col. Mike Lawrence said there was screaming on the line before the dispatcher put the phone to his/her ear, but only silence when the dispatcher listened to the call. The connection then went dead. There was no answer on a call-back, and any incident entered into CAD was deleted, Lawrence speculated. Read more about the incident here.
