The Salt Lake County (Utah) sheriff and the Valley Emergency Communications Center have debated the costs of dispatching services for several years: VECC says the sheriff isn’t paying enough for the services being provided, while the sheriff claims he’s being charged too much. Now the state legislature is stepping in to ask for an audit of budgets and costs so that an independent number can be generated.
