Motorola Posts Citizen Poll on Safety

A poll of 1,000 random Americans by Motorola found that 85% believe that first responders have the ability to coordinate and obtain help from other local, state and federal agencies, and that 43% believed their community was sufficiently prepared to warn residents of a natural disaster. The poll taken last April by telephone matches one taken earlier of first responder personnel, and focused on the top public safety priorities for both groups. The results aren’t particularly insightful, with most responses being based on common sense. “Overall, an analysis of the two surveys revealed that consumers and first responders have different concerns,” Motorola said in a press release announcing the latest results.
