The NewsCow Web site profiled Winfield (Kan.) police dispatcher Linda Gibbons, who is retiring after a 22-year career and thousands of incidents. “A good dispatcher must have all the answers no matter the question, know the law backwards and forwards and take all needed information for a case so no officer needs to leave the station to take a report,” Gibbons told the reporter.
