Motorist Shoots Man, Claims ‘Road Rage’

A Jeffersonville (Ind.) woman who shot a motorcyclist with a .38-cal. pistol says the man approached her car after a road rage incident, and that she was afraid for her life. The woman dialed 911 to report what she had done, with the dispatcher telling her to put down the gun and, “Keep your hands on either the hood or the roof of the car where (the officers) can see them.” Police say the woman pulled a gun when a similar incident occurred one month ago. The victim is recovering from a gunshot wound to the chest, and police have just been able to interview him. Read more here, and listen to the logging recorder tape of the call here.
