Two North Carolina parents have been arrested and charged with the murder of their 13 year-old son after investigators determined they had tied the boy to a tree for 18 hours as punishment. After the teen collapsed, a woman that police would not identify dialed 911 for help, saying, “Please hurry. Please hurry.” However, neither the woman or, later, a man on the 911 call would say why the child had collapsed or describe the events that led up to the incident.
