2nd Family Plans Lawsuit Over 911 Call

The family of one of two men found dead inside an Old Saybrook (Conn.) home say they’ll also file a lawsuit against the town and dispatcher they claim mishandled a 911 call from one of the men. Police have said that dispatcher David McDonald did not properly handle the call from Ronald Gebo, 70, last December, reporting that he couldn’t walk and was having breathing problems. McDonald didn’t send EMS units or an officer to investigate. He was suspended for 10 days without pay, but later resigned. The family of Eugene Amoroso, 62, already filed papers indicating their intent to sue the city over the handling of the 911 call.
