Map Mashup Creates Crime Pin-Maps

A new Web site claims that it has collected crime information for over 125 U.S. cities and over 1 million incidents, all mapped using Google Maps so anyone can see where crime is occurring. The SpotCrime.com Web site is not very refined in appearance, but the data seems real enough, as far as it goes. Naturally, there are thousands of large cities not yet covered by the maps, so you may not find something relevant for your city. On the other hand, the Internet is all about browsing.
