A homeless man living in a partially-demolished cotton mill in downtown Seneca (SC) dialed 911 for help when the building caught fire, and stayed on the phone with the dispatcher for 24 minutes before firefighters could locate and rescue him. The fire was reported about 2:30 a.m. and took scores of firefighters from several agencies to control.
