The Florida state attorney general’s office has released a huge, 800-page report on the handling of the kidnap-murder of Denise Lee in January, including the release of a logging tape of a 911 call from a caller who saw Lee struggling in a car. The incident spanned several jurisdictions, and there were several breakdowns in communications among the agencies, the AG’s report found. In February two Charlotte County dispatchers were suspended without pay for their handling of the call and its information. Sheriff John Davenport said Susan Kallestad was suspended for 60 hours, and Elizabeth Martinez for 36 hours.
