An attempted robbery of a Fayetteville (NC) woman ended when the victim’s husband fired two shots at the suspect, and then chased him down in an SUV and ran over him several times. Two 911 calls captured the incident from the victim’s point of view, and from a frantic witness who dialed for help as the incident unfolded. Stanton Moretti Jr., 41, was arrested by police for assault. On the logging tapes of two calls, Moretti’s wife explains what happened, and during another call a witness says, “He’s running over him again!
