Did 911 Call Enrage Killer?

A police source has told the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper that the killer of five women at a Tinley Park (Ill.) Lane Bryant store shot the woman after catching the manager dialing 911 on a cellular phone. The suspect herded the employees to a back room and bound their wrists with duct tape and put them face down on the floor, the lone surviving employee has told police. A source said the killer intended to rob additional people as they entered the store. However, the manager dialed 911 and reached the Will County sheriff’s comm center, who transferred the call to Tinley Park police. Because the volume on the cell phone was turned up, the source tells the newspaper, the killer heard a dispatcher asking questions. As the manager then closed her cellular phone to hang up, the suspect began shooting. The gunman fled and is still at large.
