The husband of missing Walker County (Geo.) dispatcher Theresa Parker has been arrested and charged with her murder. Parker has been missing since March, 2007 and there has been no trace of her despite a massive search. Sam Parker, 52, was also charged with making false statements, computer invasion of privacy and violation of oath by a public officer. The couple had been in the midst of a divorce when Theresa disappeared. Sam Parker has previously denied any involvement in her disappearance, and has told reporters that he believes his wife is still alive. Sam Parker was fired from his job as a LaFayette (Geo.) police officer after his wife disappeared. Police would not say what new evidence, if any, resulted in the arrest, but did say that Parker’s body had not been located.
