Dispatchers in Ravalli County (Mont.) have reached a tentative agreement with the county over a new contract, possibly avoiding a strike the dispatchers had earlier authorized. Negotiations had been stalled for several months, but county officials and dispatchers met this past week to discuss increased pay and nigh-shift differentials. The county’s commissioners were set to vote on the proposed contract today.
