The International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) is paying a former FDNY firefighter to follow presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani on his campaign travels, publicizing their opposition to him based on how he handled the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks, and also because the fire department’s radio system didn’t work properly during the incident. Jim Riches’ son was a firefighter who responded to the World Trade Center and died in the building collapse. He has spent several months dogging Giuliani in a brightly-colored PT Cruiser, talking to reporters and citizens, explaining why Giuliani should not be president. Read more about Riches and his travels here.
